umm this is my problem.
my sister was playing with my ds without my permission and now it wont turn on. “she doesnt know what happened”. I dont think any water got into it i think it just fell. can someone reply with something that might help?

First, don’t do anything big. Open your DS then see if there is something broken inside it.

where is the hinge ribbon repair video? so ok if only top screen flicker on and bottom do not then ds lite turn off. what can be the problem?

I have an original DS my top screen has raibow lines and wont show anything except rainbow lines,has a big scratch and part of the thing that holds the DS top screen down chipped of so the screens all wobbly if anyone can give me a cheap and good repair site please pm me soon

For all who are confused i just revive mine usign this video.
You need:
.A soldering iron (Mine is a 30W from Radio Shack)
.Solder
Just locate F1 and F2 fuses and usign the iron just heat the lower or upper part making a force to it so can get off. Now take the solder and try to bridge both parts of the connector. You may want to start with F2 since is harder since theres other fuses around. After you do F2 just put the baterry and check if goes green if not then do F1 too and viola!
hey, i got a new ds lite but it suddenly just cut off while i was playing it , the ds still charges but wont turn on and ive only once droped it but it never effected it before do i need a new one or a battery replacement? please help and thank you
My ds lite wont come on but it will charge up
OK this guide is VERY useful ! I didn’t fit the insulating tape to the underside of the new bottom screen during my repair, metal touched metal when the unit closed and blew these fuses, although for ages i thought the ribbon cables weren’t connected properly. I just soldered a blob over the entire fuse (without picking them out) and it now works and charges fine. As the guide says, if your NDS NDSL wont turn on and flashes once when you put the charger in, this is the repair you need to do.
I have a DS Lite that will show the green light when I turn it on, but neither screen lights up with no sound. Any ideas?
